1. Design Concept & Integration
The design concept is discussed between the client and the designer. The area of installation is viewed, further details of patterns and colours are decided, after which 2D and 3D sketches are compiled for the client to view.
2. Material Selection and Fabrication
Materials are selected in accordance with the target area, and the actual assembly of the mosaic begins.
3. Packing & Delivery
Once completed, the mosaic is packed and made delivery-ready. Large mosaics are packed in sections on mesh-sheets to facilitate installation.

The Installation Process
MEC follows the globally approved six-step procedure for the creation of your custom mosaics.
01. Design Vision and Planning Stage
A consultant from our dedicated design team gets in touch with the client to hear out their mosaic vision. Additions or changes are made to it if necessary to ensure viability. This is done with the approval of the client. The process takes around 4 to 6 weeks. Materials are also prepared, along with a map of the full layout of your mosaic.
02 Prepping of Surface
The area in question is thoroughly cleaned and made even. Waterproofing layers are then applied to the concrete so that water may not be able to seep past them
03. Laying Out of Adhesive Base Layer
A very thin adhesive base layer is applied. The material chosen as the adhesive layer is tested beforehand so that it can be ensured that it is of the very best quality.
04 Placing of Tiles
Tile placement is then started. Tiles are often delivered in sections on mesh sheets, which are directly placed on the adhesive layer. The sections are generally numbered so that the installation unit can lay them easily one after the other according to the numbering. The result is perfectly aligned tiles with no spaces or errors.
05 Application of Grout
Grout is then applied in the spaces between the tiles. The grout applied is of premium quality and is chemical-resistant, so it remains unaffected by the chlorine in the water. The grout fills in all the gaps between the tiles to stop tile-movement and leaks.
06 Setting & Finishing
After the application of grout, the tiles are cleaned and polished. Your mosaic is now ready to shine and add an ambience of its own to your space!
