Octagonal Marble Mosaic Rug

Design and Pattern: Geometric Precision and Floral Elegance

Octagonal Shape: The primary design element is the octagonal shape of the rug, creating a distinct geometric boundary. This shape provides a sense of structure and order, setting it apart from traditional rectangular or circular rugs.

Central Floral Medallion: At the heart of the rug is a central floral medallion, featuring a swirling, pinwheel-like design at its core. This central element serves as the focal point, drawing the eye and establishing the rug’s overall aesthetic.

Radiating Floral Patterns: Surrounding the central medallion are radiating floral patterns, composed of stylized leaves and blossoms. These patterns extend outward, filling the octagonal space and adding a touch of natural elegance to the design.

Geometric Borders: The rug features multiple geometric borders, each with repeating patterns and shapes. These borders add depth and complexity to the design, creating a sense of visual richness

Color Palette: Soft Neutrals and Subtle Contrasts

Light Marble Base: The primary color of the rug is a light marble tone, likely off-white or cream. This light background provides a neutral canvas for the other colors and enhances the overall brightness of the design.

Beige and Gray Tones: The floral patterns and geometric borders incorporate shades of beige and gray, adding depth and visual interest to the design. These earth tones provide a subtle contrast to the light marble base.

Eventually, a custom medallion was prepared for this project. Furthermore, a few inspiration designs were shared. Our design department developed a new mosaic medallion for the octagonal entrance. The idea was to have an intricate medallion in the center and have plain tile around it which is encircled with another strip of mosaic border. We love how the concept render turned out.
