Romana & Versace Fresco Mosaic Border Tiles

| ROMANA | Inspired by the Roman Empire architecture and design, this mosaic border theme was designed exclusively by MEC using the finest quality European marble stone tiles. | VERSACE FRESCO | Classic Greek Border with a refreshing twist. You just can?t go wrong with a Versace square, so we added new and exciting twist in the form of a simple vine to represent liveliness.

A Fusion of Classical Motifs and Modern Elegance  

The “ROMANA” design is characterized by a repeating pattern of classical urns, stylized garlands, and decorative ribbons, rendered in a warm and inviting color palette. The urns, depicted in shades of terracotta and brown, are the central motif, positioned at regular intervals along the border. The garlands, composed of green leaves and brown stems, drape gracefully between the urns, adding a touch of natural elegance to the design. The decorative ribbons, rendered in shades of beige and gold, add a sense of festivity and celebration. The background of the design is a light, speckled beige, providing a neutral backdrop that enhances the warmth and richness of the other colors.

VERSACE FRESCO Design: Geometric Patterns and Natural Elements

The “VERSACE FRESCO” design, positioned below the “ROMANA” design, features a more geometric and stylized pattern, incorporating Greek key motifs and abstract leaf designs. The Greek key pattern, composed of interlocking square spirals, forms the central element of the design, creating a sense of order and structure. The abstract leaf designs, rendered in shades of green and brown, intertwine with the Greek key pattern, adding a touch of organic form to the geometric design. The background of the design is a combination of black and white tesserae, creating a striking contrast that enhances the clarity and precision of the patterns.  

Both designs utilize a rich and varied color palette, including shades of terracotta, brown, green, beige, gold, black, and white. The tesserae are crafted from various types of marble, as indicated by the labels “Indian Green,” “Rosso Alicante,” “Verde Laguna,” “Indus Gold,” “Crema Marfil,” “Nero Marquina,” “Carrara White,” and “Bardiglio.” This diverse selection of materials highlights the craftsmanship and the use of high-quality stone in these mosaics.
