Soft Greens and Warm Browns – A Fresh Take on Petalo
From ‘maybe this’ to ‘this is it!’ Designing Muneeb’s bathroom mosaic was a journey of collaboration and creativity. Together, we took an existing favorite from our collection and gave it a subtle, earthy makeover—resulting in a design we’re now proud to offer everyone.
What started as a few rough ideas about adding color and texture to a neutral bathroom evolved into something truly special. Muneeb wanted a floral or leafy tile pattern but wasn’t sure about the specifics. They were looking for something that would brighten the space and bring in a touch of nature without overwhelming the calm, neutral theme.
From there, we stepped in with a range of possibilities—and that’s when Petalo caught their eye.
Exploring the Possibilities
Muneeb gave us a basic overview of what they had in mind: something subtle but not plain, colorful but not too loud. With that, we proposed a few designs from our catalog, including Petalo. This mosaic, with its intricate arrangement of leaves and petals, originally features a vibrant gradient of blues and greens. Its delicate details and handcrafted charm stood out instantly, but the palette wasn’t quite what Muneeb envisioned.
A Custom Petalo Palette Comes to Life
Customization is where the magic happens. Together with Muneeb, we reimagined Petalo in a softer, earthier color palette. The vivid blues gave way to a soothing ombre of monotone greens, while the bright greens transitioned into warm, earthy browns. The new palette struck the perfect balance, bringing in both color and texture while staying true to the neutral theme of the space.
Seeing Customized Petalo in the Space
To help Muneeb feel confident in their decision, we created a free 3D render of the bathroom featuring the updated Petalo design. This small step often makes a big difference, letting clients see exactly how a design will look in their space. The render showcased how beautifully the glass tiles interacted with the light, making the room feel bright and open. It was an easy decision from there.
A Design Worth Sharing – New Colorway Added to the Catalog
The completed mosaic brought everything together. The interplay of soft greens, earthy browns, and shimmering glass made the bathroom feel both calm and dynamic. It’s a design we’re so proud of that we’ve decided to add this colorway to our Petalo collection permanently.
