Blaise Light Marble Mosaic Rug

There is something timeless about serene cobblestone courtyard spaces. A designer from Beirut wanted something unique and handmade for a courtyard sitting area for an eatery he is working on. The space is planned to feature a natural stone tile facade, a fireplace area, a hand forged wrought iron railing and wooden garden furniture. Marble mosaic floor medallion fits in so wonderfully with slate tiles on the wall and cobblestone. Marble but in a more refined form and an intricate ornamental design creates a lovely textural contrast as well. The original Blaise marble mosaic floor medallion had a dark colorway. It has been customized for this specific project.

An Elegant Centerpiece in Stone

Color Palette: Soft and Harmonious Tones

• Light Marble Base: The primary color of the rug is a light marble tone, likely off-white or cream. This light background provides a neutral canvas for the other colors and enhances the overall brightness of the design.
• Golden Accents: The rug features golden accents in the floral motifs and swirling patterns. These golden hues add a touch of warmth and luxury to the design, creating a subtle shimmer. 
• Gray and Blue Tones: The floral motifs also incorporate shades of gray and blue, adding depth and visual interest to the design. These cooler tones provide a subtle contrast to the warm golden accents.
• Natural Stone Variations: The individual marble tesserae exhibit subtle variations in shade and texture, adding depth and visual interest to the composition. This natural variation contributes to the overall richness and complexity of the mosaic.

This mosaic medallion design features scroll-work in a cream and gold color theme. Finest quality hand-cut marble mosaic tiles have been arranged together to make curling acanthus leaf scrolls. Small flower motifs give Blaise the look of an actual woven rug. The Greek Square and Renaissance French Lily borders are intricately handcrafted to elegantly compliment the exquisite grandeur of the Blaise medallion.
