Arabesque Islamic Mosaic Wall

After her trip to Casablanca, this client wanted to bring a part of that culturally rich city home. Our client shared some photos of the Mosque Hassan II as a reference. She loved the mosaic tile work and the colors. We were tasked to create a mosaic tile pattern using glass mosaic for the client’s residence. A beautiful Arabesque mosaic tile installed at the exterior wall of this mosque in Casablanca served as inspiration. The mosaic wall design is nicely finished with an Islamic geometric pattern tile border.

Rhythmic Interlocking Motifs

The central field consists of repeating arabesque-inspired lattice forms. Each unit features pointed floral elements, diamond accents, and arched interlinks, creating a fluid, interconnected pattern.

Rich Blue-Green Tonal Palette

Shades of teal, turquoise, indigo, and soft aqua blend to create a cool, serene atmosphere. Small touches of pale gold and cream add warmth and highlight the intricate motif structure.

Multi-Layered Border Design

The panel is framed by multiple borders that enhance its geometry:

• A narrow inner line of turquoise

• A patterned mid-band of interlocking diamonds

• A broad outer frame in alternating geometric shapes

These layers help transition the busy central pattern into the surrounding wall with grace and clarity.

The repeated motif structure creates a highly detailed surface that remains harmonious due to consistent spacing, color repetition, and disciplined ornamentation.
